Land of Evergone

LAND OF EVERGONE What is there? I don't know But in my dreams it's where I go Days are spent out in the sun in the Land of Evergone Be they big or be they small May they be nothing at all You will always hear the song of the Land of Evergone I will sail the wildest seas I'll defeat all enemies Just to be where I belong in the Land of Evergone I'll close my eyes and think of you Across the endless oceans blue I'll be leaving at the dawn for the Land of Evergone...

Sorroden 04:40
SORRODEN All it takes to be a better man I have understood too well The hero dies before the bitter end We’ve been abused under the spell Another fallen brother who thought he had another day But when it comes tomorrow there’s no one left to follow at all There’s another side to paradise See how it marks the faces all No one is going to apologise They only want to make you small We only have each other, don’t let ourselves fall further down The traps are laid and waiting, enticing us and baiting us on… Give me something to believe in such a place and I will never let it die I will walk right through the darklands of this hell into the arms that hold me tight My blood is on fire when I leave everything in the dark And I can’t turn around, I’m riding us both down I’m lighting the way with a spark Another night in Sorroden Waiting for the calling, something so enthralling to me When you bear the weight of sorrow you can only hope tomorrow it’s gone Give me something to believe in such a place and I will never let it die I will walk right through the darklands of this hell into the arms that hold me tight My blood is on fire when I leave everything in the dark And I can’t turn around, I’m riding us both down I’m lighting the way with a spark Another night in Sorroden

FRIEND TO THE END Some quiet morning of a quiet day, a friend to the end Beyond the mountains and sea, remember me, a friend to the end A cold wind blows away all of our warmth, a friend to the end I held you close through the long dark winter, a friend to the end When the world is crushing all your dreams, a friend to the end will find you there in the loneliest oceans, a friend to the end In my dreams you're walking next to me, a friend to the end In the life we shared you were always there, a friend to the end A friend to the end A friend to the end....
4.
SHADOW OF THE MOUNTAIN In the shadow of the mountain Down the darkened mountainside I beheld a fallen bird I knelt down and held her as she died... She was broken in my hands I couldn't move myself at all I could have wept forever and ever The air grew colder and the sun had to fall... By the time the fog was around us The mountainside would not let me go I lay beside the fallen bird til inside and out came the snow... Sometimes the sun shines down upon us and you can see us from far down below When wind is sighing, there is the crying I lay there still with the snow....
5.
Island 02:47
ISLAND From this windy ancient hill The world is quiet and still See me in the rivers pale and blue And the frozen moorland deja vu The spaces in between the daylight and the dream I'll shut my eyes and take myself away It becomes another yesterday I want you in my life A beacon in the night We lost ourselves in swirling snow and the sea that rises from below If I die far from these shores I'll die a thousand more Only to return back to the land of the windy rocks and golden sand of the windy rocks and golden sand....

Early Moon 02:34
EARLY MOON There's an early moon It's risen far too soon A pale white circle in a dreamy wide expanse of blue And he's woken up He's drinking from a cup that spills and stains his loving hands that never seem to have enough It's a blue blue day Bluer than the waves that lap and crash upon the sand and washes my love away And he'll never see the wood for the trees but I hope someday he'll realise all he's meant to me... It's an early moon risen in the sky too soon It's an early moon high above our earthly ruin It's an early moon that cannot penetrate the gloom It's an early moon and I must say goodbye to you...
8.
FEARLESS SAILOR By the light of the moon I was a fearless sailor Sailing through the shipless oceans, journeys without end With the violent winds I’d go Beyond the cliffs of jagged rock Way beyond the dark hills that I love with all my heart I am tough but I am broken I am here still riding the winds On a moving bed of water till I reach the land of dreams If I’m to brave this tempest wild For the rest of my life I’ll let the storm clouds gather round and be with me forever more
9.
HOUSE WITH BOOKS I fill this house with books They are towering I am cowering Forever unknowing I fill this house with books They are towering I am cowering Forever unknowing
10.
THE LONE WALKER I am the first one to wake in the day While everyone's sleeping I'm making my way I am the lone walker, see me out the window I don't know where I'm going but I'm going alone I'm never here and never there I'm only trying to get somewhere Judge me always, however you want These days are my poison and the world is my haunt I walk through the morning, I walk through the night I walk through the wind and rain and snow, and the last of the light See me at the shoreline, underneath the stars I'll walk in through your memory and into your heart I'm never here and never there I'm only trying to get somewhere Judge me always, however you want These days are my poison and the world is my haunt...

about

''Dark atmospheric folk music with lush sweeping dreamy soundscapes and Celtic-twinged instrumentation. LAND OF EVERGONE strikes a balance that is intimate and soaring, peaceful and haunting, sad and quietly joyful, delicately reverberating with Murray's dreamy voice and guitar playing'' - The Sirens Sound
